Salty Dog - The Salty Dog was invented by George Jessel in 1952. George is the same individual that brought us the well known Bloody Mary cocktail. Given the date of the Salty Dog’s creation, we would not be surprised to find that the original called for vodka over gin.
How To Make The Salty Dog
Rim a tall glass with salt and set aside. Shake gin and grapefruit juice vigorously in a cocktail shaker for 10 seconds and strain over ice into your tall rimmed glass. Garnish with a quarter slice of grapefruit and serve.
